We're getting married in Brighton, Ontario at the Timberhouse. The place is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures don't do it justice. There's a ton of venues listed in Ms Martian's thread here, maybe that'll help you find something! How many people are you talking about, vibe, area, etc? If you can give us some more details I'm sure we can help!
@Cicera: Share with us where in ON you are, how many ppl at your wedding, etc and Im sure we can help! I looked EVERYWHERE from TO to Niagara, etc so I may have some suggestions. You will find a fab venue!

I used to live in a little community off of notawasaga bay in simcoe county... they have a local seniors hall that has high ceilings its a little drab on the inside (nothing some good lighting and draping fabric can't fix) and down the road was a little chapel style church... for the total venue and donation to the church we're spending $500! plus when you step out of the hall and look to your right you can see the beach and across the bay the outline of collingwood's Blue Mountain. (community is called Woodland Beach)

Hi ladies,
I've been away for a while due to the cluster F that was my original wedding planning experience. (Looong story, involves a crazy mother)
So I finally feel numb enough to start thinking about this process again. It has nothing to do with FI and I, our relationship is as strong as ever, if not more so after this past year.
I just haven't been able to face it because of the emotional issues that are now so tied into any decision we make about our wedding.
Anyway, advice....
WHERE OH WHERE, can one (well two) get married in Ontario that won't involve me chopping of my right arm or going completely tacky?
Everywhere I search online, its either waaay too expensive or terrible looking. I dont want to pay thousands and thousands but I don't want it to be a tacky affair. We have a very tight budget. So any advice you may have would be really welcome.
