@marinesfiance:  ASk to try on one with a similar cut to 2397 and order the 2397 dress.

I also think 2397 is beautiful. I see it’s part of the AA Private Collection. A lot of stores seem to not carry all the various collections. I know when I got my dress they only had dresses from what seems to be the regular line from AA, none from any of the specific collections such as the Private Collection, Disney, or Sapphire Collection.

Could be worth looking to see if any store near you has it just to try on.

@marinesfiance:  Yes those two pictures are the same dress just shown with different sash options. The first is with the dress ordered with a white sash, and the flower sash is extra/seperate. I have seen some pictures where brides made this look strapless and it looked pretty too. I like the wide straps but I tend to like a lot of coverage, I know it’s not for everyone.

Here’s a bride trying it on with straps tucked in to look strapless

Here are pictures of me in the dress too

@marinesfiance:  Thanks! I really hope you’re able to find a dress you love! I just never wanted to take mine off! LOL. That’s how I knew it was the one.

@marinesfiance:  I understand that too. I actually first saw my dress on a slide show on MSN Weddings! I fell in love with it there first and then hunted it down to try on! Sounds like the way you feel about 2397. THEN once I put it on, I still loved it and didn’t want to take it off.

The only bridal shop that had it is about 45 min drive from me! I went there and bought the dress. Thankfully, the dress shop also had fantastic reviews and I wasn’t dissapointed.

@marinesfiance: I got my bridesmaids dresses from Alfred Angelo too although from yet another bridal salon. This one was closer to all my bridesmaids who are in the Milwaukee, WI area. We had a great experiance with them so far.

And what a coincidence you might be moving quite close to me here in Madison. One of our groomsmen actually lives in Janesville. 🙂

Good luck with the dress! Keep us posted!
