Is anyone else out there using pink and green for their wedding colors? I would love to see some of your details, if you have pics to share OR would love to hear how you are using the colors throughout your wedding details! I'm really excited about using pink and green for our May wedding. What months are other pink/green brides getting married in? Would love to hear what you're planning! What are you doing for your bridesmaid dresses, chair covers, flowers, etc?? Yay for fun colors! :)
I am also a pink & green bride. I added chocolate brown as well. Here were some of my inspirations when I first picked the scheme. We are June 27th so almost there, I'm more than ready for it to just be here already : )
-Happy planning
Thanks KristinK! Those are absolutely beautiful! I really like the chocolate brown accent too, that's a great idea! What color are you putting your wedding party in? June 27th is a great day! That's my birthday :) I know what you mean about wanting the day to be here already...I feel the same way, and still have a year to go! Good luck with everything! I'm sure you're wedding will be beautiful! :)
Aw yay for June 27th! Its a good day then ;) THats funny!
Our wedding is more casual than my original inspiration pictures. I mean not everyone can have swarovski crystal centerpieces with a dozen + roses at each table. haha...but I do love her colors she picked so thats why the pictures are "inspiration" pictures I suppose : )
My girls are wearing vintage cut, sheath style dresses in lipstick pink (last season Isaac Mizrahi line) and apple green shoes of their choice. I searched hi and low for the apple green shoes but found nothing for 5 bridesmaids so we are dyeing them. The guys are in kahki suits and we found AWESOME ties that match the apple green perfectly. http://www.cheap-neckties.com/ I seriously didn't know what they would look like because they were SOO cheap but I took a chance and LOVE LOVE them.
Happy planning, you will have so much fun. Oh my advise if your a year out. Shop for your ribbon, fabric ect ect now because in a couple months the fall color stuff will be out and you will have to wait until next season for most pink & green things. I hated that part about planning a year in advance : )
MayBee, I used pink and green in my wedding with silver/platinum in there as well. I dressed my BMs in silver and my flower girls in green. Pink was in my dress and my hubby's tux. The groomsmen were also in silver. You can view some photos here. And then you can see pics of my invites and some other things I diy'd here. I carried out the colors throughout as much of the wedding as I could. Oh, and I was married in December, so I used softer shades instead of the bright pinks and greens.
Thanks scrapsoflife!! What beautiful pictures! I absolutely LOVE your invitations, favors, and favor boxes! SO, SO cute! You and your hubby looked absolutely fantastic! I love your dress...I was thinking of maybe putting some color into my dress too, and I really like how subtle your pink was. Where did you get your dress? Thanks so much for sharing!! :)
Just saw your second post KristinK! Yeah, I agree....I don't have room for Swarovski crystals in my budget either! :) Looking for pink and green now is a great idea...thanks so much for that advice! Didn't even think about the fact that it will all be pulled and replaced with fall colors. Thanks so much for mentioning that! I'm really happy to hear that you are doing pink dresses with green shoes! I'm doing that too, but the reverse....green dresses with pink shoes....and yeah, I think finding the shoes could be a little challenging too...luckily, I'm gonna leave that one up to my girls! :) Thanks again for the great advice! I would love to see pics of everything after your big day!!
I love dresses with color in them, so I would def encourage you to add some color to yours. I got my dress at Alfred Angelo. They have tons of gorgeous dresses with color options. Don't know what type of dress (or designer) you were looking into, but there are so many dresses now with punches of color thrown in. Even if you end up getting an all white dress, it's usually pretty easy to add a sash/ribbon to it to give it some color. Oh, and I don't think I had any pics up anywhere, but I actually had on some bright pink heels for my shoes, just for fun :D
I'm glad you liked the photos, too. I would have gone for a brighter pink, but it wouldn't have really gone too well in december...haha. Were you planning on doing bright pinks and greens since your wedding is in May? Oh, and I definitely echo KristinK about getting any pink and green items you may need now. Most of the spring/easter lines should be on sale now for your softer shades. Look for some bright pinks and greens during the summer though! Then make sure to buy near the end of summer when things go on sale to make room for fall lines.
Funny you should mention Alfred Angelo! Everytime I look at dresses online, he seems to be the designer I keep sort of gravitating back to! I am also definitely planning on wearing pink shoes too. I would love to see a pic if you have one! Yeah, we're going with the bright pinks and greens since our wedding is in May. I think you totally made the right call with the softer shades since your wedding was in December. That's the great thing about pink and green, so many different shades to choose from! I will most definitely plan on getting my fabrics, ribbon, etc. this summer. Thanks so much ladies! :)
Any other pink and green brides out there?!?! We'd love to hear from you! :)
I was MOH two years ago for an April wedding. I'm sure the bride won't mind me sharing...We wore tea-length green dresses and carried pink tulips.
Thanks for sharing that FlipFlopBride!! I'm planning on doing green dresses, with pink shoes too! You looked great! :) Did you like the pink and green??
Personally, I like the combo, but I always tend to associate it with AKA sorority. haha. But I was very comfortable wearing the colors, and I thought it was a wonderful combination for a spring wedding. Plus, it looks good whether it's pastel or neon together! Very versatile. And at the time, we had no trouble finding the combo anywhere. For some reason, that was when the Pink and Green explosion was happening in our area.
I am doing fuschia and light green for our carribean beach wedding. Fuschia bridesmaid dresses, with cymbidium orchid bouquets. Our logo is three pale green palm trees in the background with our names in coursive across it in fuscia. Fuschia table runners, pink signature welcome drinks for the reception, fuschia flowers in the center pieces, and maybe fuschia shoes for me? Our wedding is in July.
I'm wearing pink shoes, FI is wearing a green tie. BMs will wear green dresses of their choosing and carry pink calla lillies. We are desperately searching for pink and green (only) striped ties for the groomsmen. I'm shocked how hard theyve been to find--has anyone else found this in their pink and green searching?
I just love the color combo--so fresh, fun. We are getting married in July too ![]()
MayBee, here is my planning bio with a bunch of photos and inspiration for my July pink and green wedding. Hope this helps!

Thanks FlipFlopBride! I'm glad you liked the pink/green combo as a bridemaid...I really want my girls to feel comfortable. As far as I know, everyone's into it....except for maybe the guys, who I'm planning on putting in pink ties :) We'll see about that one! BeachBride09, that sounds absolutely beautiful!! Please, please post pictures after! KatrinaB, I have been on the lookout for pink and green striped ties, too. If I find anything good, I'll definitely let you know! Let me know if you find anything! And I agree...I think the color combo is fresh and fun too! I feel like as a guest, I would LOVE to go to a pink and green wedding...it's just fun :) Mariahjane20, thanks so so so much for posting your link! Those inspirations pictures are gorgeous!! I LOVE the pink lanterns...absolutely beautiful!! They totally reinforce how beautiful pink and green weddings are!! Yay! You girls are great :)
I knew I wasn't alone in the pink and green!!! We're still a year out (thanks for the "shop now" tip, KristinK!) but I plan on having my bridesmaids wear a dress from the Ann Taylor collection in the pistachio color ... or finding something very similar. I'd like them to carry a bouquet of soft pink flowers (don't know what flower yet). As much as I'd love to go all out on huge centerpieces of peonies and garden roses, I think I'll probably end up with something a little less expensive. Again, not sure what yet. Our invitations will be ivory with accents of green and pink. I want to make pomanders of pale pink flowers and green ribbon for the ceremony aisle; if they have the right color green, our chair sashes and centerpeice fabric/runners will be green. And there will be green and pink accents incorporated into everything else!
Can't wait to see more pictures of your green and pink!
I got my inspiration for my raspberry, blush, and celadon (pink and green) wedding from Martha Stewart Weddings magazine last summer. Our centerpieces are green apples with pink peony roses. Our signature drink is pink. Our plated appetizer is a berry filled crepe drizzled in a raspberry coulis. The bridesmaids are wearing raspberry colored dresses with blush sashes and carrying pale pink flowers of their choice (one 'maid is carrying gerbera; another, hydrangea; etc.). Our wedding is the beginning of August, and it's an afternoon affair (so not too formal).
While I never thought I would do pink for my wedding, I am. Green is my absolute favorite color and I am pairing it with an almost hot pink. I am having a super casual wedding, my dress is an A-Line Strapless sundress from JCrew and I am wearing lime green dress sandals I found at DSW. My bouquet is a mix of hot pink roses, pink gerber daisies, hyrdrangeas and kermit mums. FH bout is a kermit mum with berries and tied with hot pink ribbon. Beautiful! I am giving all my girls hot pink flip flops for us to wear for the weekend, as we are doing a 4th of July wedding in cabin and having a party all weekend! Some people thought I should have done the red, white and blue thing, but I cant, green is my color I adore and is woodsy and thats how are wedding is going to be seeing that we are getting married in the woods at a waterfall. I love everyones ideas I am reading!
I'm so excited that there are so many pink and green weddings being planned! :) What is everyone having for their pink/green details?? Here's what I have planned so far:
Me: Pink Shoes/Pink and White Gerberas (don't worry, I'll have a dress on too! :))
Girls: Green Dresses/Pink Gerberas/maybe pink shoes?? What do you think??
Guys: Pink ties/Green Dendronium Orchids for Boutennieres (except my FI will have a white tie/white bout)
Ceremony Decor: Pink flower petal aisle, pink petals for my niece (our flower girl), and pink and green programs...oh, and two pink and white gerbera arrangements for the arbor at the ceremony site
Recpetion Stuff: Pink and Green Candy Buffet, pink and green table name cards (not sure what to call them!), pink flower petals on all of the tables, and our centerpieces are going to be pink and green cupcakes in DIY cupcake stands that we'll be serving for desert instead of a cake (we are gonna have a little pink and green cake for us to cut), ivory organza sashes with pink trim for the chair covers, and pink couples trivia cards for ice breakers for the guest tables
Oh, and our invitations were pink and white too. I think that's it...but I'm sure I'm forgetting something!
How about you ladies?? What are your pink and green details??
Oh, and are any of you putting pink and green details into your bridal gear?? Shoes, jewlery, sashes, etc?? Just curious :)
We didn't set out to do this, but all of us in the bridal party ended up wearing green eyeshadow of different shades to suit our skin tones. It was adorable. We had shoes dyed green to match also.
That's really cute! All of my girls are picking their own dresses (same color green/same length), but I wanted to find some kind of cute way for them to all having something in common....like maybe a cute, chunky, pink necklace or something. The green eye shadow idea is a really cute little touch too :)
Need your help! Here are my ceremony programs that are actually going to be fans tied with either a pink or green ribbon at the end. What color scheme do you girls like best? Ignore the very last attachment of Fans. Its a duplicate and I can not get it deleted. Thanks!
We are doing pink and green for an outdoor wedding in the Outer Banks on June 3. I am actually still looking for a green sash for my ivory gown if anyone has any suggestions! I was looking for a bright green (not lime - more of a spring, leafy green), but am willing to settle for something more like David's Bridal Clover if need be - want it to be 4 inches wide.
I am having pink peonies, hot pink roses, and green hydrangea in my bouquet, with similar accents on our 'altar' of bamboo poles and sheer fabric. No attendants - just us!
I'm still on the lookout for bolder striped ties for the groomsmen, but these are our backups: http://www.tiedup.com.au/candypinkgreenstripestie-p-136.html
Our colors are black and green with pink accents. I'm using it all over the place, you can check out my blog here for all that I'm doing.
BMs are wearing this black dress with a green sash. They will have pink gerbera daisy bouquets.
We are having centerpiece cakes and I made the cakestands in our colors.
Some other details, but I really enjoy the colors together!
Hooray for pink and green! Love katrinab's pink and green striped tie. Let me know if you find any others! Our bridesmaids chose their own style of Aria dresses in the leaf green color:

LOL, I just posted in another thread that it seems like most of the weddings I am doing lately are pink or pink/green. Mostly pink as in fushia but did do a pale pink wedding bouquet not long ago wrapped with a apple ribbon. Besh wishes Pink ladies
Those favors are BEAUTIFUL! Where are they from??? Thanks LinLin99! Please let me know :)
I'm doing a pink and green outdoor wedding next June. I picked chocolate brown originally as an accent color, but it slowly worked it's way more prominentally into my planning. My BMs are all a variety of sizes (5'4'' - 5'11'') and have red, brown, and blonde hair. I wanted pink dresses, but my redhead begged me not to do pink b/c it clashes with her hair. (How can I say no to that?) I couldn't find green dresses I was crazy about, so we ended up going with brown summer dresses from JCrew. They are really light and so far all my BMs love them. (One already wore hers to a wedding she attended.) For flowers, I'm going for pink gerberas in mason jars and either green hydrangeas, roses, or carnations all bunched together in white bowls. I keep changing my mind ...
My shoes are pink. Our cupcakes will be half pink icing half green. I'm having brown table runners. The BMs are going to carry pink gerbera bouquets, and the guys will have green ties and pink gerbera bouts and khaki suits. I haven't decided about my bouquet ... I love the classic look of a big rose-only bouquet, but I'm not sure ... The invites and programs will combine all three colors.
I second everyone else. This is the best time to be shopping for pink/green. A ton of it is on sale!
This color combo was my "other" option :)
I went purple and green but I loved the pictures shared here
OH MY GOSH PINK AND GREEN OUR MY COLORS TO0 !!!!!! im getting married june 12 2010
here is what we have done so far my bouquet and my bridesmaid dresses and there boquets and cursages and grooms flowers
HI! I'm getting married June 5th and am also having a pink and green wedding! My bridesmaids dresses are Bright Pink with a Green sash from the dessy group (http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/6553/#LineList=3&catid=1&displaytype=GridMedium&activePage=2&rpp=9&SortOrder=BridesmaidLineDefault - the actual colors are called Posie and Apple Slice). I LOVE these dresses and so do my bridesmaids! they are all going to wear silver shoes with them. We have 2 flower girls who will be wearing Green dresses with Pink sashes. The Guys are wearing Khaki suits with Pink ties and probobly pink vests and the ring bearer is wearing a green tie and vest. my fiance will probobly wear a pink and green tie if we can find one we like... we're still looking for this. I'm probobly going to carry Hydrangeas, peonies and gerbera daisies - maybe all pink but i also might have the hydrangeas be in green. The girls will carry a mix of the same - maybe no peonies though. I'm also going to wear pink shoes - but am having a hard time finding the ones i want. I'm 5'10" and my fiance is 6'1" so i don't want a tall heel and of course all of the really cute shoes are tall! i did find some dyeable ones that are pretty cute that might work. I'm doing centerpieces that are 2 square vases - the center vase will have either pink baby gerbera daisies or pink baby roses, and the larger vase will have water and limes in it. I'm also going to have tea lights around it and maybe rose petals on the table - not sure about the petals yet though. I designed my save the dates and will be doing my invitations too. Howevere, the invitations will probobly have a little less pink and green on them. So overall we are having a lot of pink and green - it concerns my fiance a little buth he likes it! we are even doing a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle and might use pink and green sand, although i'm also ok with just black and white sand. I'm so excited about my pink and green wedding!
Here's my girls dressed in green with pink flowers and another pic of my pink flowers. The colors look awesome together!!!
Pink and green here too! June 25th with a tent reception (it has walls and carpet and french doors incase of rain) I wanted my girls in pink but we hated all the pinks the dress they picked out came in, so we went with champagne and the flower girl is in blush :) I just found DIY invites with pink garden roses imprinted on them for 1/2 off at michaels and i had a 20% off coupon! Who can argue with 200 invites for $80??? Our original invite budget was $1000, guess whose getting some AWESOME shoes now?
