mrsdevries:  Maybe these sites will help? http://www.vintagefieldandgarden.com/2012/10/vintage-backgrounds-four-pack-of.html

Not the same as your photo, but still look vintage-y. Otherwise, you could try googling ‘vintage post card font’ for inspiration of other vintage post cards you could try and recreate.

I think it’s fine if you want to do postcard STD, RSVP or Thank you cards. save on postage, right? Personally I did post card RSVP’s, but with the thank you notes I sent photos with the notes, so had to use an envelope for those.

I used post cards for my std ‘s and rsvp’ s. It’s totally fine.

I plan to use post cards for my save the dates and RSVPs as well, but I feel like a post card thank you is a little too exposed and somewhat impersonal.

Our guests replied online or by phone, but we did postcards for our thank you cards and I thought that was super handy! Basically, I just drew a layout (re-using elements from our wedding decore that I drew as well, so it went with the theme) that incorporated France (as that was our honeymoon destination) had it printed and when we were there we wrote a couple of cards every day before dinner.

I actually loved writing them, sitting at a small table in Paris or wherever we were, drinking wine and looking at people walking past. Highly recommend it! Also, we filled out all the addresses before we left for the wedding and that made it so much easier.

mrsdevries: It was great, and it meant that my husband wrote his part of the cards without any complaints at all. I’m usually so much better than him at these things, and will have to nag, but not this time – he actually thought it was quite fun!

I always really liked both of these designs.

There’s a postcard style invitation on either Minted or Wedding Paper Divas

mrsdevries:  Is there a clearer picture of the ‘post card’ part? I.e. not hidden under another card? because there are some sites (like http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/) where you can upload a picture of the font you are looking for and it will try and identify it for you. But it has to be a clear picture. Alternatively, there is a forum on the above website where you could post and see if someone there can ID it for you.

You could get a rubber stamp and stamp them. Something like this, or a whole template.
