Perhaps just searching on the ring boards? Bees post their rings all the time. Or you could just google pictures of solitaire settings to get ideas. I’m not sure of a specific site that is dedicated to settings besides a jewelry store.

I think you have some pretty good info from WB to use 🙂

@ECH258:  Do you mean like a bezel? Bluenile.com or jamesallen.com are both good sites to use to compare different settings

@ECH258:  sounds like you like a “cathedral” style setting.

This is a cathedral setting.

@ECH258:  One of my favorite sites is sunjewelery.com I have yet to order anything from them, but I plan to in the near future! 🙂 They have the most amazing collection of settings and styles! I think they have over 2,000 engagement rings and the cool part about that site is that you can switch the center diamond to whatever shape you want  and see what it looks like. So, if you see a setting that has a princess diamond in it, you can change it to like 10 other diamond shapes (round, pear, etc.) and you will get to see what that ring will look like. They also have hand pics for every ring.

I could spend hours on their site! LOL.

  • @ECH258:  cathedral settings the sides go up towards the stone. Depending on the basket and the stone depth some mountings may sit higher or lower.

@ECH258:

Try going to stuller.com.  Stuller is a major manufacturer of jewelry settings, and they usually have a lot of pictures of their ring styles.  Your jeweller should know who they are.
