I sew quite a bit and I would say this dress would be pretty easy to make–it’s basically a few long triangles sewed together (sorry, no pattern recommendations offhand). BUT it’s definitely not going to be flattering on everyone, especially if they have big boobs. What body types do your bridesmaids have?

It looks like something that could be done fairly easily, even without a formal pattern, as long as you’d be willing to make a mock-up or two.

I think that with the sash it has the potential to be flattering on all sizes.

You might want to consider moving the sash up to be more at the empire/natural waist area, also, for the larger girls.

@alheur:  If they are all pretty proportionate it could work–although I do agree with @pharmy that you would probably want to play with sash placement. 

Do you feel comfortable making it from scratch? Like I said before it’s basically long triangular pieces stitched together. PM me if you want, I can talk you through making a rough pattern.
