     @bunnyharriet:

    It depends on what you like!! Are your fingers long or short? If they are long I think the center stone will look bigger, if they are shorter I would go for the larger stone. It’s just a matter of preference.

    Here is my ring, the center stone is 1.03 ct, setting is .60

    Ring size 5 but it is a bit loose.

    I like the 1.25 if you can afford it, because it creates more of a dramatic difference between the graduated stones and the center.  I like when the center stone stands out from all the sparkle around it.

    My finger is slightly smaller, 4.75 and the center stone is 1.3cts. Hope it helps!

    I’m a 5.5 and my stone is 1.5 ct but with a halo.  However since it’s a cushion it is 6.5 mm so with the halo I believe it is 7mm.

    Keep in mind that for some reason, stones always look bigger/have more presence in photos. I had a 6.5 mm solitaire (on a size 4.25) and I felt like it was a little too small. In photos, though, it looks plenty big.

    The setting matters way more than the carat size

    6mm/size 5.5
