Hello Ladies.  I need some suggestions.  I am getting married in October and have beautiful champagne colored gown.  My dilemma is that I am 5'7" and hubby-to-be  is around 5'10", that being said I really want to find a pair of snazzy flat shoes.  I have looked everywhere but the only style that seems to be offered is the dreaded dyeable ballet slipper and I want to be a little more flashy that that.  They could be opee-toed or the slipper type as long as they have some flair, the only color I can find is silver which will completely clash with my dress.  So come on Hive.. any suggestions on where to find a killer pair of flats?

Have you even tried looking at your local mall's shoe store? Usually for summer/fall you can find some pretty cute flats!

Search Zappos, using the 'flats' search tools.  If you don't like them, they always have free shipping both ways, so they are easily returnable.  Also, they usually upgrade your shipping to you and you have your shoe in a day or so.  Amazing!

Also, www.ninewest.com has a ton of super cute ballet slippers/flats and they always come in a lot of colors.  They have a flats search tool as well.  I got some Nine West flats, but through Zappos, because they had a color that the Nine West store wasn't carrying anymore.

     Good Luck!

i am 5'10", as is my fiance, and so I am definitely wearing flat shoes for the wedding.  I got mine from JCrew - they don't have them anymore, but they are a flat, gold slingback with lots of flowers on them.  I'm also considering ordering a pair of gold shoes that they have on sale now - which are also flat.  I have not had the best luck with finding stylish flat shoes - but they are out there! good luck!!!

i really wanted peep toes... so i ended up getting my shoes at 6pm.  I did a google search on "gold peep toe flats" and after a gazillion pages, i found a bunch of flats at 6pm.com.
I ended up with the Steve Madden- exposed (in pale gold)
The link below is for gold flats..... good luck!

I am 5'10" and needed 2" or less, so I got some from piper lime...biviel? on sale for 90...not great but the other colors on zappos are more.  Also, don't forget there shoes give them some lift, too.  My BF is only half an inch taller than me, but the 1.5" heels I got are fine.  I might have to do some head shots where we are on stairs, but at least I'm not taller than him side-by-side.  calling all tall brides =) : wedding flats shoes Icon Wink  Hopefully you are long-legged, bc I feel like I look squatty even in the inch and a half shoes, so I don't recommend flats if you don't need them.

I'm 5'10 and my fiance is just shy of 6'0 so definitely a search for ballet flats ensued. I didn't want anything too cutesy, so these were perfect for me and I would definitely rewear them after the wedding. These shoes have also been featured on weddingbee too!

I'm 5'8" and my fiance is 6'1", so with the kind of heels I normally wear it puts me just shy of his height. If you are 5'7" and he is 5'10" you can get away with kitten heels. They are only about an inch high, sometimes 2 inches, and are a bit dressier than flats. Check it out! Do you have a DSW Shoe Warehouse near you? They have TONS of options.

Long gone are my days of 4" heels and not caring about being 6'5" :)

I only buy flats and while dressy ones can be difficult to come by at times, they're definitely out there. :) My shoes were "Olivia" by Shannon Britt (1/2" heel)... which now seem to have elevated in price quite significantly. :(

I'm a big browser at Zappos & Nordstrom as well as Piperlime. Some of my favorite dressy flats are from J Crew & Banana Republic too.

I'm also 5'10"...I wore adorable peep-toe flats on sale from J.Crew.  I'm pretty sure they don't have them anymore, but they consistently have a great selection of flats.  Good luck!

I'm actually pretty short (5'3"), but my fiance is too (5'6") so I am in the same boat.  Here are a few I found and loved:

http://www.shoebuy.com/dyeables-kara/201749/446466 (these run big but are very comfy)

    Good luck!

    Don't forget...

if your gown is long, you can always take off your shoes for the formal pic's

I've had great flats from steve madden.

I'm 6ft and my Fi is 6'2. The shoes aren't a huge prioty for me since my dress will be covering them anyway. i'm thinking about wearing converse or something because we'll standing more of the day anyway, although i think my mom would have a heart attack.

I'm tall too! 5'9 and FI is just 5'11. I haven't started thinking about shoes, but these posts are sure helpful! I still want to wear heels tho because they make my butt look good!

Try Endless.com! They have free overnight shipping both ways if you're not happy with what you find :D They also tend to be a lot less expensive than Zappos!  You can customize the search with color, heel height etc.
