Have you tried any of the coverups? I’ve heard a few work very well.

My husband had a tattoo covered with another one. A skilled artist should be able to give you something you like and totally hide the one you don’t. It doesn’t have to be bigger, it can be the same size.

if you’re interested in covering it up, then it being faded is a great thing. There are tons of wonderful artists who can do coverups today, and I think you’d be surprised at your range of options of things to do. How big it needs to be all depends on what your current tattoo size is, and what you’re wanting to change it to.

I would rather show off my beautiful tattoo in whatever wedding dress I wanted, than try to hide my old tattoo simply because I don’t like it with a dress that Im not in love with. I would start by trying to find local (or a reasonable drive away) artists online, look at their pictures/portfolio and find someone with a style that resonates with you.

A temporary fix would be to get tattoo concealer for the day of the wedding.  That way you are not rushing to cover up you old tattoo in time. My last tattoo I got ( I have 7) the tattoo artist was telling me all about special makeup you can buy to cover up your tattoos for the big day. Just an option.
