I am doing all the insurance changes for my new husband and I. My company now offers HSA accounts through the HSA Bank. I want to do that, but Im sure I read that I can only get a HSA Account only if no one can claim me.
Problem is, doesnt the wife and husband claim each other on the tax forms and W2’s?? I thought that only the husband or only the wife could claim each other. I didnt think that the wife AND husband could claim each other.
And my other question is, what is the benefit to filing together and the benefits to filing seperate??
I am so confused here. Please help. I think this has been the hardest thing to figure out about getting married.
