I have an older unenhanced moissanite of about 3/4 of a carat. I can’t say much about the newer stuff, but mine does take on a lot of yellows and greens when it is cloudy or I’m near trees, etc. It can look very bright white in some circumstances but sometimes it has a greeny tinge that I don’t like much.

Personally, I would get the enhanced option. I didn’t think it made much difference when I saw the two together in the store, but after living with it for a while I am definitely considering upgrading. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still nice and sparkly and has a lot of fire, but if white is what you want, then get the enhanced.

@MrsGtoBe39:  I have an unenhanced and it does take in different colors. Sometimes it soo white and other times it is less so. Above is a picture where it is showing a bit dark in my car with tinted windows. the top picture it is picking up nice colors and the second one is white white! I love my unenhanced!

@MrsGtoBe39:  Welcome! Yes, see how you feel after you’ve looked at it in a few different lights. Some people are much more color-sensitive than others and you may find you like it just fine. As I said, at the store I honestly couldn’t see the difference between normal and FB moissanite, it seems to be mainly a tint that happens in specific lights.

@MrsGtoBe39:  Thank you! I never see green or yellow. Creamy, yes! They say the car is the worst place for unenhanced but I don’t think so. i think the worst I’ve seen is the third (last) picture in my above post. Here’s another in the car. You’ll love it!!

Literally JUST got this from the postman today. I’m actually not sure if it’s enhanced or not–the description says “1.05 ct Cushion Brilliant Moissanite Solitaire Engagement Ring.” My FI had initially bought a 1 ct cushion cut diamond but it was super included (like peppered with lots of little black specks that were super noticeable even when holding the ring at arms length). So we returned it and I convinced him to check out moissy instead. He was pretty resistant and I had to kinda talk him into it, but he’s happy that I’m happy. Sorry if the pic is too gigantic. Taken with my phone in my warm colored (kinda beigey) living room.

@MrsGtoBe39:  Mine is unenhanced 6.5mm/1ct and I love it (granted, I dont have it… yet). It picks up some color, but thats what I love about it! Even in the blue wax mold it was beautiful.

@MrsGtoBe39:  Our jeweler ordered it in for us, otherwise he doesn’t keep it on hand. But I am very happy to see it in person, I was a little scared before I saw it, but honestly, I’m SO happy with it. I love rainbow sparkles so this was a perfect choice for me! He told me that early last year they came out with a “new” whiter and brighter moissanite, so there is no need for enhancement.
