    @imanw:  Hey date twin!

    Commenting to follow–I’m doing the same thing as you (except no tulips). Where are you ordering flowers from? I’m still undecided on whether to look for someplace local or order online.

    I’m doing DIY all out of my dad’s huge garden (he’s retired and a crazy green thumb).  We’re are going to have nearly unlimited flowers – it just comes down to how many we want to deal with cutting and transporting to the venue.  Maybe 300 stems?  Or more?

    We have 130 stems for 25 tables but will only be putting a couple of stems in each vase – with about two-three sets of vases per table. The rest of the vases will have photo props or ribbon wands or pinwheels in them…

    We’ll have 15 table, buffet table, cake table and possibly the bar.  I’m planning on 400 roses, 90 hydrangea and some sort of fill flower or greens.  I want the arrangements to be full so 2 dozen roses per arrangement should be enough. Have to add, it is very possible I have lost my mind trying to do this but time will tell.

    I’m doing carnation cenerpieces. By my calculations I’ll need 360 of them. Thats only half of my 12 tables though.

    I’m getting approx. 500 stems of hydrangea, calla, rose, and spray rose split between Sam’s Club and Costco. They both have great reviews and many said they had more flowers than they knew what to do with so I’m confident we’ll have plenty.

    @imanw:  From looking online at how many stems bulk flower places put in bridal bouquets……which is 30

    I guess go by that sizing? If you wanted 2 bouquet sized arrangements for each table.

    And that’s 12 tables…

    Oh god, that’s 720.

    I’ve miscalculated maybe

    I made all my centerpieces out of velvet silk flowers BUT Costco and Sam’s Club seem to have the best price on wholesale flowers if you really want to use fresh. I know a few Bee’s here have ordered them offline and posted pictures and they looked amazing.
