I have 7. I got them monogrammed make up bags and filled them with a bunch of survival kit items. I made them each a bracelet and bought them earrings to match. I am getting them each a pashmina as the wedding is in January. Then lastly I bought each a totally non-wedding related gift. Jewelry, Vera Bradley, scarf etc. I spent about 25-30 on bridesmaids and 50 on MOHs for the last gift. I haven been purchasing things each pay day for a few months to space it out. Just means no dining out or that extra happy hour.

I have 8 as well and I’m not sure- I’d like to get them either a necklace or earrings and perhaps a clutch  not sure yet

I am thinking of making them all customized beach bags with a beach towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a good novel. Is this a gift you would appreciate?

I had two matrons of honor, four bridesmaids, two junior bridesmaids, and a flower girl.  I gave them their beautiful, handmade (by a local artisan, not me) Swarovski crystal necklaces and earrings that they wore in my wedding.  (The flower girl received her crystal hair accessories and something else, but I can’t remember what it was.)

I have 10!…lol. I think I’m going to get them gold broaches to wear on the day and then keep. I was thinking about shoes, but for ten girls that like fashion I don’t think it would have worked out budget wise…lol.

@DEBeachGirl:  Dang, you got a lot of gifts for a really good price! Hope I can do the same! I have 8 bridesmaids as well. I’m thinking of getting them pretty robes and pashminas. I reall yhope they all like it. If I can afford it, I will squeeze in some pretty jewelry that they don’t have to wear for the wedding.

I only have 3 girls that I got each a peice of jewlery for to wear the day of and i’m undecided on what else to get.

but I have 8 jr bridesmaids and 3 flower girls so I got them all cheat print head bands off e-bay.
check out ebay lot sales for generic stuff and then maybe one personal gift for each?

@toasty:  I spent the 25 or 50 on their last gift.  But the other gifts added up to about 25-30 dollars per girl (not counting shipping).  So about $55 total for each bridesmaid and $80 for each MOH.  Does that make sense.

@secondchances:  I got a beach bag and towel from a wedding I was in 3 years ago.  I still use them all summer.  And I live at the beach so they get a lot of use.

I was a bridesmaid in a very large bridal party— 13 bridemaids, 2 MoH, and roughly the same number on the guys’ side. Our “gifts” were all things we “needed” for the wedding— it was a winter wedding so instead of carrying bouquets, we each had a fake fur muff (source of a long list of bad jokes), so the muff was our gift, along with a small purse and the jewelry for the wedding. I felt like it was too cookie-cutter, and wasn’t something special for me, and I was a little annoyed that the bride paid for things we’d not otherwise want or need if it weren’t for our wedding, and called it a gift.  So I can’t stress enough that your gifts should be personal to each girl, and shouldn’t be directly related to your wedding.

As for the beach tote— while I like this idea, I personally wouldn’t use it, because I don’t go to the beach very often and I read all my books on my Kindle.  So I’d feel like the bride didn’t really know me at all if she gave me those gifts.
