That dress and jacket is gorgeous! I really like the jacket, and will add a wonderful look to the overall dress. Great choice!

I am a plus sized bride as well, I am a street size 16/18 and in dresses I am a size 20.

I don’t have any wedding photos, but I have photos of me in my dress when I tried it on for the second time, it is not altered yet. Igonore the pink bra, my bridal lingerie didn’t come in on time, so I had to rock the pink during my fitting. >_<!

Side note: You’ll be beautiful on your wedding day, you can be big and fabulous! Don’t worry, I know that isn’t really reassuring, but seriously, you’ll be beautiful and everyone will love how you look, and on the big day you’re going to feel wonderful.

I bet you’ll look wonderful on your big day! Before I started dress shopping, I was positive I’d feel like a cow in a wedding dress, but I was amazed at how flattering they were! I tried on probably ~15 dresses and there were only a couple that I even thought about my weight in.

Once I found my dress, and again once it came in the correct size, I knew I’d have no reason to think about being plus size. I feel amazing in it, and even looking at crappy cellphone pics of me at the dressing room after a long day, feeling dingy and tired, I still think I look great!

So I wouldn’t worry too much 🙂 I think your dress/jacket combo will look awesome.

My dress is strapless, and I thought about getting a bolero jacket as well.  However, my dress has a lot of intricate detail, so I don’t want to overpower it.  The jacket you posted was lovely, and will look nice with your dress.

Here I am in my dress.  It’s Alfred Angelo 2310.

p.s.  Don’t mind my messy hair.

I had the best dress in the world. Alfred Angelo Belle 206. Size 18 (usa).

It came with an optional sash thingie for the shoulders, but it felt constricting (it bunched if i lifted my arms). I rocked it bare shouldered and I was a beautiful disney princess.

@lovelove1028:  Thanks! I love it. It’s by Sweetheart, a very small designer (I’m assuming, as no one has heard of it, even on the bee! lol) so I’m not sure how easily you’d be able to find a retailer, but I think it’s style #5964!

@lauren230213:  The dress I tried on was a U.S. 24, but I’m a size 18.  I’m ordering it in an 18, and hoping I don’t gain any weight before the wedding, hahaha!
