There's a new space called downtown called the Mezz that might fit your criteria. Heaven Events Center is really modern.
Also, I know City Arts Factory used to do weddings. Not sure if they still do? But that's another place I'd suggest looking

My now husband and I paid for our wedding ourselves..everything from the dress to the building! We got a limited amount of photos on a disk. We would love to have a wedding album but they are around $200 threw our photographer...she is having a photography contest that ends tonight FEB 10th at 8pm. If we can get the most likes on our photo we will win the album of our choice and a photo session!! Hey everybody, first I want to congratulate all those who are married and those who are almost there as well. I am planning mine and is quite overwhelming I can say... I live in Lakeland Fl and I am looking for a venue some what reasonable but here is the catch Jason and I are both from Up North (NYC/NJ) and we will like to bring some of that Urban air here in FL... Brick Walls, Beams, Concrete, Modern art, etc. So far I have not found anything that will meet those lines... Help?
