Can you post a picture?  I think if you used green OR red as the main color and the other as the accent — instead of the two equally — it wouldn’t look too Christmas-y at all!

I don’t understand why you got a dress with green if you weren’t planning on including green in your color scheme, is there any green in your color scheme? There are so many pretty black white and green weddings, why not go for that!! It will be gorgeous!

Yes, a bride can have a dress with green it :). What about the decor? If your dress is green and your decor is red, it will probably look Christmasy. Can you get rid of the red? It’s not a very summery color, anyway, for your August wedding. 🙂

I second going with black, white, and green instead of the red. Check out Miss Stiletto’s wedding or Mrs. Pomegranate’s – both beautiful with those colors. If you’re set on the red, I’d say definitely just use accents – having green on your dress is not bad, but it certainly brings attention to that as a color for the wedding.

Oh, also, if your green and red aren’t they typical crayon colored grass green and bright red it will look less christmas-y, I’d think.
