tossing the petals isn’t allowed in my church, and I don’t think it’s allowed at lots other churches either. so walking down the aisle with a small bouquet is totally fine and normal.

I think most just walk down the aisle, lots of places don’t let you throw petals any more.

My church is the same way as Jacqi‘s church – no dropping petals allowed.  We got my flower girl a basket and our florist is designing a bouquet that goes in her basket that she’ll carry.

I went to a wedding on Friday where the bride and groom’s daughter was the flower girl and she walked down the aisle with a bouquet – and she LOVED her bouquet (she is 2 and a half). So sweet!

And then the bride threw that bouquet for the bouquet toss! 🙂

We aren’t having a flower girl, but at our church, only fake petals are allowed. I don’t think it matters too much. 🙂

Definitely! Pomanders are quite popular now since most girls are too shy or forget to throw petals on the floor anyway! 🙂
