Hi Wedding Bees! I have a question about my wedding dress. I tried it on and loved and bought it a while ago but now as I am looking at pictures it seems to me that the sweetheart neckline is too low. I would like to have it altered to be more of a scoop neckline or then have a bateau style neckline added. Is that possible? Here is my dress:
And here is a bateau style that I like:
Thanks for your help!

it might fit you totally differently than the model! did you get to try it on before you ordered it? a seamstress could probably use tulle/organza to make a sheer neckline like the one you have shown if necessary.

A good seamstress could make you a sleeveless overlay that you could wear over top of your gown to give you that illusion neckline.
or, you can purchase a jacket online

Thank you ladies! Yes, I did try it on before I bought it but in the pictures of me it looks really low cut. Maybe because it wasn’t my size. It will probably fit better once I get it altered. I was thinking about getting a lace bolero or something to cover up the front but I am not sure if it will look strange since the rest of the dress is very simple and not lacey. Also, I was considering getting a bit of extra fabric sewn to the front but again, I am worried that it will look weird.
