If you have a hired a wedding coordinator can you tell me how much it cost? Did you do planning and day of? Do you think it really helped you?

    Thanks for your help!

There are definitely affordable coordinators out there. I found ours through the WeddingBee Classifieds section for under $800, and she was worth her weight in gold. When things in other parts of my life fell to pieces 9 days before my wedding, at least I knew I didn't have to worry about the wedding. My coordinator was on top of everything and was in total control. She was the BEST decision that I made in my entire wedding plan.

Absolutely! I wish I had hired one for our wedding to make things go more smoothly. I am currently running my own business on the side being a wedding planner. Find someone that is passionate about what they do so they will treat your wedding day like their own.

our coordinator costs $1744.  this is not just on-the-day-of but actually a year-in-advance-of.  the cost is fine with us because our wedding will be in a different country, so she's really helping out a lot.

Our Day of was $300. She was great. She emailed me weeks ahead to ask me questions and details I had not thought of. She offered suggestions. She made the day of go great with no stress for me, my mom, my husband or my mother in law. Soooooooo worth it.

My wedding coordinator was 500 dollars, this included 20 hours of work and unlimited emails and phone calls. She will be my day of coordinator and at the rehersal. She has also gone to talk to venders and discuss contracts. I am in Afghanistan so this helps me out alot.

I had alot of Wedding Coordinators who wanted 1000-2000 dollars. I really only needed someone to answer questions, be at the wedding/rehersal, and meet my vender (plus some other little things) We decided on the number of hours she could be contracted for and talked about EXACTLY what I wanted done. This cut down the cost considerably when she found out I only needed her for a few things that I was doing everything myself.

Tell them EXACTLY what you want and figure out how many hours you will need one for. If you can do most of it yourself then let them know what you want them to do, this may get you a better price!
