I went to a wedding there at the end of July. We stayed in an area just a few minutes away from the downtown area that was kind of trendy with a lot of bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Then we also went to a rib place called Jack's Stacks in a part of town that is a big shopping area. The architecture is modeled after Seville,Spain (its sister city). We went to some antique shops and a cute little cafe/wine bar that had really good food. It seems like it would be a fun place to explore! It was HOT when we went though because it was in the middle of the heat wave. Best of luck to your husband with the job!
You would only be three hours from me! And we go there all the time. It is very similar to Minn/St.Paul just smaller. Very much laid out the same also. There is great shopping, great food, and great people. You will find it lacking in the artsy area compared to Minn/StPaul, but there is a ton of stuff to do and you shouldn't ever be bored. And you would only be a few hours away from the Ozarks, which is a great vacations spot or a weekend get away spot.
Power and Light district downtown is super fun! The Royals stadium was recently spruced up and they games are pretty cheap for MLB. They have cool fountains, too. (And this is coming from someone whogrew up in St. Louis and loathed KC. KC is way cool.)

I'm nervous, but a little excited as well for the posibility of something new. We'll have to see what happens, hopefully we'll know soon, he has an interview next Wed, but when he talked to them yesterday, they were asking when he would be able to start, so it sounds pretty positive so far.

My husband has an interview with a company down in Kansas City, so there is a good chance we may be moving down to Kansas City, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it?
