Yes, mine is a D color which is the best so it has no yellow in it but the further down you go the more yellow it becomes. They can also have flourescents, they dont effect the quality of the diamond but mine has a blue/purple flourescent so it looks bright purple in direct sunlight or in the tanning bed. 🙂

@Daniellelise:  Yup, all depends on the light. I wouldn’t worry about it, though. Yes, J is right at the end of the “near colorless” range so it is normal to see some color in it if you’re color sensitive.

A little warmth in diamonds is lovely, though.

yes.  i am colour sensitive.  i can see yellow in J coloured diamonds indoors and out.

@canarydiamond:  I agree that a little warmth is lovely.

I wouldn’t mind a little yellow. What I don’t like is when diamonds do not sparkle much and mostly stay dark…
