@PonkiHoneyBee:  I’m not a seamstress, but I think it can be altered to make it fit. But I’m not sure about adding the lace overlay. I dont know how they would make it lay flat with the underlaying fabric (which looks like stretchy spandex) vs having it float above the fabric. Do a quick Yelp search in your area for a good independent seamstress and ask them.

@PonkiHoneyBee:  I have tried on that dress and there is good and bad news:

The good news: The train on the DB dress is stunning and HUGE and will totally look like the Lark dress. it is one of the highest quality trains I had seen on a less-expensive dress.

I also think you could have lace added over the entire bodice, but you would have to cover the lace on the top too because you could never match it. You’d just have to cover all the lace everywhere, not just add lace to the bottom.

Bad news: The Davids Bridal dress has shoulder straps and it is made of like a georgette, not a structured satin. If you want a strapless dress, you could not remove the straps on this dress and still have the dress stay up. It would fall down.

@PonkiHoneyBee:  It is a really wonderful dress. The straps wouldn’t be a deal-breaker for me because it has such an incredible train in person. Maybe see if you can find one at a local Davids Bridal to try on?
