a corset back would look real pretty. I would go to alteration now and see if it fits, if it is still tight add the corset.

Honestly, I’d see if there is anything else you can do. Can they take out the dress at all? Your dress is so delicate with the lace and tulle, and my personal opinion is that I don’t think a corset back really would go well with it at all.

@ady:Sorry to hear that 10 lbs usually makes a noticeable diff. but it takes 2-3 months to lose, then alterations in time for the wedding.

I think you could add a corset to that dress, but you need to do it ASAP.  That type of alteration could take a while and you need to make sure you have time for adjustments one it’s put in.  If you can zip it now, you will probably have to take in the sides of the dress after the corset is in so that the corset has the pretty v shape instead of going stright down.

@ady:  Are you getting this dress altered through David’s Bridal? I would ask them if they would do it for you, otherwise, you may have have to find a different seamstress.

I didn’t buy my dress from them, but I did find a gown I was considering and they said they wouldn’t even do a simple alteration to the neckline to make it a sweetheart because it would alter the design. I would definitely talk to them. I’ve seen that dress and think it would look pretty with a corset back, but it might be a bit costly since there is so much detail.

A tip for losing weight — exercise alone isn’t always enough and since it uses so much of your energy you need to make sure you eat before and after you go, you just have to eat the right things.  Carbs before you go and protein when you come back home.

But even still, if you’re serious about losing weight I would suggest weight watchers.  Its not easy, but it’s easier than trying it on your own and I’ve lost 6 punds in 4 weeks and that’s with a little bit of cheating  =)

Check with David’s bridal, they might be able to do something for you.  I think corset backs are SO pretty!  my dress doesn’t have one and I’m kinda sad!  haha  =)

Good luck with everything!
