You could always take it in and try it on with the dress then you can know what it looks like before you buy!
You should take the dress to a davids bridal near you and try on their trumpet slip and see how it looks with the dress.
Thanks girls! I'll definitely call DB's and do that. (I need to try on veils anyhow). I'm just wondering how it will look with crinoline "peeking" out. Maybe i'll dye it and make it fun 
@bells: I agree with this - I have the trumpet crinoline and I don't think it would look right with your dress (bc of how I'm imagining how mine looks) but you'll have to see for yourself if you try it on
Thank you all! I tried it and it looks ridiculous. The tulle was not long enough, didn't give the effect I wanted. I guess I could always see how sewing in tulle would look!

My dress has no train and not a lot of length to work with.
Would I be able to add a trumpet/mermaid small petticoat underneath? not a really full one, but a semi-full. I'm sure the tulle will show since the dress isn't that long. will this look weird?
