It is possible to buy your dress and take it with you the same day if you buy a sample. If they have to order the dress in, then you won't be able to take it with you. It will really depend on if you find a sample dress you love in your size (or close to, as you can have it altered). I hope you find what you are looking for!
Maybe you can call ahead of time to see if the store will have your size in stock (as a sample or whatever). Then if they don't have your size in stock, you have time to come up with a game plan.
When I went to David's Bridal, they told me I could purchase the dress and take it home that day. They have every style in every size there up to a certain size. Good luck!
@justeen: I disagree with the every style, every size comment. I got my dress from David's Bridal and they had numerous dresses that I wanted to try on where they did not have my correct size (some not even a size anywhere near mine). I had to go to three different stores in order to try on the dress I wanted in something close to my size so I could get a better idea what size to order (needed to make sure I had adaquete boob coverage).
it depends on which davids bridal you go to.. just like every other chain store some branches have more of a variety than others..
You are traveling to 2 areas where they probably have multiple stores. If they don't have your style in your size nearby, perhaps they can ship it to you while you are still in the states. I ordered a couple things from them on line and it came very quickly.

Hello! I'm from Caracas, Venezuela. I will travel to the United States (NY-Miami) in november from vacations and I'll buy my wedding dress. I really love two stiles (from David's Bridal): T3039 and WG9871. I wonder if can I buy the dress in one of the David's Bridal stores and take it the same day, because I'll make alterations in my country (the wedding is next year) Is it possible? In the stores has a stock of all the models that I can see in the web site? Thank you very much!!
