I haven't started trying on dresses yet....I get really nervous at the thought of trying on anything fit n flare, or mermaid - my hips are huge!
@FutureMrsCassar: I have large hips. I have a 14" difference between my waist and hips. I'm usually a US street size 12/14 on the bottom.

It didn't end up being my wedding dress, but it was a close contender.

I actually ended up with a ballgown but I have since made it my life's mission to get someone in the dress because it is just so damn beautiful.
Unfortunately I won't get to try it on because I don't think it's sold in Malta. :(
But I'll let you know what happens!

Hi there! This is me (sorry about the huge pic, and the horrible outfit - wtf was I thinking...):
