I was over my FI’s parents’ parents house over the weekend and told FI’s mom they should start thinking and pick a mother/son song. I was thinking we’d do 2 songs: one for my dad and I; one for FI and his mom. FI’s dad chimed in and said he’d like to dance with me while FI and his mom are dancing. If we did that, then FI would dance with my mom while my dad and I are dancing. I have no problem with this, but has anyone ever heard of this? I’m okay doing whatever we’d like and no necessarily following what the tradition may be. Maybe FI and his mom could dance the first half of the song and then the DJ could invite FIs dad and myself up to finish dancing the song with them? Then we could do the same when my dad and I dance- halfway through FI and my mom will join in. I thought it’d be a nice way to include all four parents and still only have 2 songs. What do you think?
