Definitely stay away from black tea.  But I think green or white tea would be okay.

If you’re going to drink black tea, drink it through a straw.

I don’t know if you’ve done White Strips before (I do them every ~6 months) or not, but it’s a good idea to use Sensodyne toothpaste at the same time.

@luvmesumhim:  I think you should just skip it for now (at least until after you have your pictures!). I’ve heard tea stains worse than coffee. I used Crest White Strips and they worked great. I avoided all things staining – including red wine 🙁 – and I was really happy with the results. Don’t risk it this close to the finish line!

I did everything like normal when I used them. My teeth are visibly whiter.

Now, can somebody help me convince FH to use them? He drinks a pot of coffee a day so you can imagine…

@petitcupcake:  My dentist told me that green tea is the worst for staining teeth (out of herbal ones)

Light Lemon tea wouldn’t stain. Most others might.

If you do drink something staining, drink water right after to prevent it from sitting on your teeth long.

I’m trying to whiten my teeth a bit too, but life is too short to go without coffee or red wine!

I’ve done the whitestrips before, and the directions always say don’t drink anything but water while you have the strips in. But other that that, drink away and brush like crazy after if you have anything staining.
