I have bought them in white, and plan on dying them, but haven't yet. The only reason I haven't is because we don't have a shoe shop around us that performs the service, so I'm waiting until the next time I visit my parents so I can take them in up there. The site I bought mine from, actually sold the white ones as dyable.
Please let me know how it goes! also, they are getting hard to find! Zappos doesn't have them, and bellissima bridal seems to be the only place that has them, but their return policy is 21 days! Yikes! Keep me posted on how they look!
Check with Footprints in Newington (here) - I think I saw some Kate Spade's in there the other day, and they'll know whether that one's dyeable - they have amazing service. (They're also the only place nearby that I found that will dye shoes - couldn't find anything closer to our neck of the woods).
Hi Everyone, please keep us posted. I've also just bought the Evie in white but would love to wear them in red. Haven't done it yet as I live on an Island with not much options for professional dyeing. Let me know how it goes.
Revelation! I also bought the white and e-mailed Kate Spade as their website said not to dye, however the store I purchased from said dyeable. According the Kate Spade, the white ones are dyeable, the ones they sell on their website and ivory and blue, and I assume are already dyed which is why they say not to, here's their response
"thank you for contacting kate spade with your inquiry.
the white satin is in fact a dyeable material. all other colors of satin we do not recommend dyeing.
as a courtesy, we can send you a small white swatch of the white satin to test dye. if you would like one sent, please forward us your mailing address.
please let us know if you can be of any further assistance."

I have been searching for shoes and have fallen in love with Kate Spade Evie shoes. The problem is.... I want to wear fushia shoes on my wedding day. Some websites claim that the white satin is dyeable, but not all claim the same thing. So, has anyone purchased these shoes and actually dyed them? I don't want to spend $300 on shoes that end up getting ruined because they actually can't be dyed. Help!
