Ok SO- I have planned a Peacock Themed wedding, using Peacock Green (dark teal pretty much) and several shades of Purple. My plan is to have the teal table cloths, with centerpieces made with Purple flower arrangements and Feathers. I want my bridesmaids to pretty much look just like the tables, haha! Teal (and im talkin about shiney shimmery turquoise-ish teal, not dull flat teal) and different shades of purples in their bouquets. FIRST OF ALL… Does that sound ugly to anyone?? Am I picturing it to be way prettier in my head than it really will be?? I have several pictures and inspirational boards saved that look similar but I just need REAL PEOPLE opinions!! ok and SECOND- can I do this is JULY? is this SUMMERY enough? or what can I do to make it more JULY appropriate? I do not really WANT a July Wedding, but the US Army is pretty much deciding the date for us!! Marrying a Soldier isnt ALWAYS convenient!! COMMENTS PLEASE!! I AM STRESSING!!!!

I think those are beautiful colors and look gorgeous together, great choice! And I definitely think you can pull it off in July, maybe if you’re super-worried, you can just play those colors off of white, to keep it summery…But I think peacock feather are so pretty!

I literally just went to a lovely peacock-themed wedding on Saturday (in July, obv, is my point I guess, lol). The colors were set amid a fair amount of white and black but the main color was the teal you described. It looked nice! You can do it. And girl, quit stressing…you have another whole year to work out these details! No worries! 🙂

I just wanted you to know that I bought satin linens through http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com and we were very happy, I think they have great prices, and many colors. I am just a satisfied customer, nothing more. They even have a “peacock” color linen. 🙂

I’m having a peacock-themed wedding Labor Day weekend (which is technically September, but still- the weather is still summery).
Go for it, girl!

I think the theme is gorgeous and you can do it in whatever season you want! Go for it!

You can use any color you want any time of the year. Mother Nature never adheres to those man made rules and peacocks don’t go into hiding during the summer.

I’m doing a peacock wedding with dark purple and dark teal in April of next year. I think it can be pulled on during any time really since the jewel tones compliment any season.

I am having a peacock themed wedding, too!!! And on 7/23/2011!!! This so cool. I think your ideas are just fine… My BM are having teal dresses nothing shimmery though. I haven’t yet decided on my table linens. My colors are teal, mocha brown and silver or antique gold.

Our wedding is also peacock themed, we’re concentrating on the greens and blues. Our wedding date is mid-July!
I say we ROCK the summer peacock theme!

I am also doing a peacock wedding, on July 16th 2011 🙂 I am wearing a dress that has a teal colored insert in the back…. my flowers are purple orchids, white calla lillys, and orange confetti roses with peacock feathers. The bridesmads have smaller boquets that have feathers and if they are the MOH’s (2) they have the orange rose and the orchids, and the BM’s (3) have the white calla lilly and the orchids. I think the peacock idea is FABULOUS, and it can SO work in July! 🙂
