As long as the invites aren’t sent you are still good, you can’t find another Chruch close by?

Can you find a local park or another church to hold the reception?

@JacobsMama:  You are right January in Missouri won’t work outside:) How about doing a private ceremony at the courthouse with your reception as planned!

@JacobsMama:  Is setting up the reception venue on the day an option? Something like this: everyone (you, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, family) has an early lunch before 12 and gets at the venue at 12.00 sharp. For about an hour you help and direct setup. Then at about 1pm, you leave the guys to keep setting up, while you and the bridesmaids go to the preparation room and spend the next 3 hours getting ready and getting a few photos done. (I’m not sure how long a groom needs to get ready, but it’s not 3 hours).

@JacobsMama:  I would have a small, intimate ceremony at a different location (courthouse, pretty homestead, options are almost endless when you only have 6-8 people to worry about!)

Then just invite the big gathering to the reception.

My brother had a ceremony with just bridal party and parents and his wifes son. He had his two closest siblings (my other brother and I) in the bridal party and she had all her sisters in the bridal party, so they got to be there with their closest family. No one minded being invited to reception only, because they knew it was such an intimate ceremony and they did still get to really celebrate with the couple 🙂

Hope this is helpful, it will also make you far less stressed the day-of! 🙂
