This dress is unfortuntaly discontinued from the original site and I can’t find it used anywhere! Can anyone tell me what type of material that would be? I’m thinking about a custom route.. and I’m hoping it can be made of soft cotton type of fabric. Kind of like a cotton comforter. Soft and cozy. That’s what I imagine it to feel like. It’s a winter wedding so warm material is no concern of mine.

That looks like a fairly straightforward dress design, and I am sure that any number of vendors could replicate that dress.
You could try on etsy: misdress, carabridal, or dresstalk (they all have very positive reviews).

@soupydoopy: It is indeed pretty straightforward. I have a couple of changes I’d like to make.. a sweetheart neckline with spaghetti straps for example. I just really love the bubble hem, it’s adroable. So that’s obviously the most important thing. I’ll look in to those etsy sellers, thanks!

@Josheen: You can read about the fabric on BHLDN’s website. It is silk.
You will need a fabric with a certain amount of body to make the bubble hem. If you prefer a softer fabric, the seamstress will have to use an underlining/interfacing to get the bubble.

First, that dress is super cute. Second, curling up in a comforter always sounds like a good idea so that just sounds amazing.
As for something that might be sort of helpful, if you end up not getting a custom or don’t like those options, you should check out the dresses at J Crew. There aren’t any exact matches, but their dresses do have a simialr style/vibe.

@julies1949: Do you know much about fabrics? Would silk be the only kind that can do it naturally? I guess I wouldn’t mind underlining.. though I’m not sure if I understand the concept correctly. If it’s just the way it’s sewn I imagine that would be okay.
Here are a couple of sweetheart top ideas. Which one would you think is more appropriate? And would it be odd to have the top part lace and the skirt part plain? Like the bottom picture especially. Just that lace type top with the skirt listed above ^
ETA: I’m thinking the first pictures top, including the flower band around the top of the skirt, and the second pictures straps.
