The vases I had my heart set on are already reserved (just found out).
I was planning on doing a group of different sized cylinders on each table. I already struck a deal with a local bride on the 24″ cylinders ($3 ea!) but was going to rent the rest of the grouping. They were $1.35 ea, 3 for each table. So now I’m stuck…either I stick with the 24″ by itself or I continue on my search. I’ve been calling local rental places (theres only 2 worth calling) and they both suggested renting through a florist…but to cut costs I’m doing real touch flowers!!
So, has anyone successfully rented items from a florist, even if they aren’t doing any floral work?
My inspiration pic: (and FI loves this too! WINNING!!!!)

But there are tons of vase rental companies. You rent the vase, pick it up decorate it, take it down and deliver it back. Same idea I would suspect. Check out rental decor places in your area.

All you can do is try! Start phoning. In this economy, I would think that if they aren’t booked to use the vases themselves, they would be glad to get the money from a rental.
The other option is the dollar stores. They often have great deals on cylinder vases.

I’m getting screwed left and right because of my date…Sunday September 4. (yes, I know, haven’t updated profile yet!) There are so many Labor Day weekend weddings (on Saturday) so the rentals won’t be returned to the store in time.
I’ll check dollar stores…was hoping not to buy much and stick to rentals. Maybe I’ll get lucky on the classified boards! Or I stick to the single, 24″ vase. ugh…at least FI understands my frustration (i think).

Do you know anyone who has a business and therefore could order them wholesale for you?
Some wholesalers will only sell to businesses but some will sell to the public also.
This one is open to the public.
If you have to purchase your vases, you can sell them after the wedding to recoup some of your cost.
