I’m going to do my wedding website soon. Can I read some of your websites so I can gather ideas of what to write? Thanks!
Also, I’m doing save the dates next month. My fiance wants to use the first picture we ever took. It’s cute, we were camping though, so I have no makeup on, my hair is pulled back, and I don’t look glamorous, but we are happy. It’s a very sentimiental picture to us, so it’s not a professional romantic engagemnet photo. I guess if it means a lot to us, who cares what our guests think. What’s your opinion?

Here’s what my website looked like. And I didn’t use my engagement pics either for my Save the date. I just chose 3 pics that me and the hubby liked and were sentimental to us. So your right who cares what guests think. 🙂 Here’s my save the date and here’s the link to my website. Good Luck. And when your done post it I would love to see it. 🙂

Well, our wedding webpage photo is also not romantic or glamorous. It was taken at the State Fair, and we’re poking our heads through a cut-out painting. We are bugs. It’s SO not romantic.
Also not romantic? Our “about us” page. It ends thusly:
“We laughed, we loved, we cried, we fought, and we killed. …Whoa, hold on. Scratch those last two.
Anyways, we’re a pretty good couple. Come to our wedding.”
Our guests loved it! They were like, “Oh yeah, that’s definitely them.” We had fun with our wedding, and especially with the webpage. As long as it feels like you and your fiance, you’re doing it right.

@sarasouth: Very cool! i love the bees! It looks like it really shows your personalities! Thanks… all these websites have picture perfect, romantic posing engagement photos. We have a lot of pictures, so I think we can work with what we got within our story of love the last few years :)… Thank you!

I like the idea of a casual, sentimental pic for your save the date, too! Here’s what we did – a collage of pics from a recent backpacking trip – very “us” ! We even hid a tiny picture of us mooning the camera in the picture somewhere, haha.

@lolot: Oh my gosh! What a cool card! We backpack too! How did you do the collage?

Our save the date didn’t have a picture of us but what you’re describing sounds good. I could never send out a pic of me without makeup but my southern mama ingrained in my brain that I should never leave the hosue without makeup & I’m just now starting to get over it! If your both happy with it go for it!
Here’s our website, mostly completed except for some details like times…. Our ceremony is in a state park & it has no address so finding a website that would let us place our own map markers was sooo important!
