We have been talking about what we want our cake to look like, and can't decide on anything! I would love to see your cakes, or your inspiration of what you want :)
Your bakery should have a book of styles you can look through.

Our cake is going to be similar to this one.... with the fireman and the bride on the top... but we are going to have our monogram put on it and we are going to decorate it with dotss and swirls and a few purple flowers similar to the second

My daughter opted to go with a "dessert table" and have a wide variety of her favorite cakes and pies.....
saw the idea on style me pretty~ and is very pleased with her choice.
Our colors were black and white and I had a mini "brooch" theme running throughout our wedding.
We also had a cookie table featuring all of our families famous cookie recipes - so yummy!!!!

Having a pie table - all kinds of pies.......apple, peach, cherry, rhubarb, lemon chiffon, boston cream, banana cream. And then several big lucious bowls of flavored whipped cream.
Yumm-o! What can I say - we love pie!

I gave this to my baker! I want this cake, but modified colors and NO NEST! Just a small floral topper. I want the branches to be gold fondant. I just loved the birds...vintage-y, adorable, fun.
Yes, the brown branches are much too dark. Icky. Lighter gold-brown branches and softer pink flowers. And a bird-y bow tie!
I hope my cake tastes GREAT! Theres nothing I love more than CAKE. yumyumyum. I think about it al day. I think about it while I'm showering, exercising, eating something else, walking, breathing. I love cake.
Our chocolate buttercream iced yellow cake with mocha filling! And mini-wedding pies for DH!
Yum! I have inspiration for my cake but really I won't have much choice as a friend of the family is making the cake for us as a present but I know it'll be on 3 seperate tiers and will be fruit :)
Here is what our cake will look like! It's simple and sweet and have three big flowers, which I love :)

here's what we'll shoot for, IF we have a reception...where the green is will be white and the pink will be fuchsia and we have a mirrored monogram "G" cake topper and the white dots and such will be black

@Champagne - I saw that cake in the magazine and the style has really been growing on me...
The overall color on this pic is super yellow for some reason, but it gives the general idea. The reason for the kites is that we flew kites with all of our guests before the ceremony. The cake was a chocolate rum cake.

Our wedding theme is butterflies, so this is the cake I choose (the colors will be adjusted though to a lighter cream-color, brown and lavender).
I love strawberries, so the cake will be stuffed with strawberries and cream. And this is, how it's supposed to look like from the inside (not round, of course).
I would love to see what your cakes are gonna look from the inside!
Heres the inspiration for my cake...we have this exact cake topper which i added all the crystals to by hand....our crystal ribbon is not as wide as this because it will laying on apple red sating ribbon and its got both clear and black crystals in it to accent our apple red and white with black and white damask theme. it also will have edible apple red roses on opposing corners of each tear and the roses will be accented by edible diamonds!! yep edible diamonds!! on top there will be a ton of edible apple red roses so it look like our topper is sittin on a bed of roses.

It will be 4 layers and black ribbon instead of pink.

The bottom tier was buttercream frosting and almond cake with buttercream filling. the middle tier was chocolate frosting, fudge filling and chocolate cake. The top tier was half the bottom tier and half the middle tier with buttercream frosting. I loved it!!
holy cow mrsmonika your cake sounds amazing i never had an edible DIAMOND before!!
