My cake topper wasn’t really custom, as I ordered it online.  But then I did paint it myself to match our hindu-ceremony outfits, so then I made it kind of custom.  But here it is on our cake:

@mchitt329:  Do you mean 3 inches high? as opposed to 6 inches high?  or do you mean 3 inches in diameter?  either one of those seems super tiny. I’m not psotive, but I think our top tier is about 6 inches in diameter.

Do you have a picture of the cake you are going for?

I think she’s right. 3″ is sooo very short I imagine the proportions would appear to be quite off. Our topper was also off Etsy, not made by Mudcards but it was the same size as the ones she makes (except the base was probably a bit higher on ours.)

Ours was a custom topper made by another Etsy seller. It was a last -minute rush job, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. This was the seller’s first time ever creating ‘people’, but you’d never be able to tell…

@mchitt329:  No problem! If it makes you feel any better, the seller asked me specifically how big our top tier was going to be, and based the figurine off of that. I think if she went any smaller, the details could have gotten lost…

Our cake came from the Cheesecake Factory so I am not sure if it will help at all.
