Me and the FI are trying to decide if we want to DIY the invites or splurge a little.
So let me see yours whether DIY or made for you. And inspirations would be great too!
Thank you ladies<3
I design invites for other people (just as a hobby), but one day in the close future I will design my own. Here's one of my favorite designs that I have done for people in a few colors.

here are mine.. I designed them, printed them, and put them together myself...

i made the programs as well.. we had the bridal party info on one side and the other side there was 3 different versions- madlibs, crossword puzzle, and fill in the blank.. people were texting us for weeks asking for the answers!

@ILikePink: So if I were to want to have you design my invitations would you? haha I honestly have no creativity in me.
@BeachFanatic: What did you print them on? And I definitely wanted to do something like the puzzles. I also wanted to do something fun at each table at the reception.
I DIYed our invitations. Here is a link to them with a cost breakdown :-)
Everyone has raved about them, so my hardwork, in my opinion, paid off!!!
I DIYed our programs too. Here is a link with a cost breakdown :-)
@crh1729: Thank you :-)
Also, just an FYI, Joanns is having a paper sale starting on Sunday, so you might want to check it out.
I got our invites from Michaels using multiple 40% off and extra 20% off coupons, and got these wonderful Invitation in sets of 30! I got all my invites for about $40-50! And I plan on doing faux calligraphy since they are printables!
You have tons of options!!

Michaels plus DIY :) I included pictures, directions, and cost break down.
Here's part 1
And part 2
Here is a post with a lot more, and some of the same.
@BeachFanatic: those games are a great idea! Did you make them yourself or did you use some program/internet tool to put it together?
@crh1729: i printed them using my nice cannon printer (im a designer.. i have stuff like this) i used cardstock from cardsandpockets.com
@peacegrl099: i got the idea on a blog but designed them myself.. husband and i came up with the clues/games... he wrote the madlibs.. the crossword was the hardest.. if you want my files i can prob throw them together.. PM me!
http://www.shecreates.ca/products-page/invitations/briana-matt/ These are exactly my invitations (they were created for us, and then added to her catalog and named after us). Honestly it was one of the wedding things I got the most compliments on. People loved that they had a picture of us. I was really glad we got them done because it would have been a lot of work to do them myself and taken a lot of time (and patience) I didn't have.
ETA: Sorry I just realized the link doesn't take you straight to them, you have to click on the ones that say "Briana and Matt". But a side note, my sister's are the ones called "Caitlin and Kyle".
We had really traditional invitations printed:

But I DIY'ed the reception cards:

We used this Wilton kit. The paper is good quality, it came with everything we needed, and even the bows were pre-tied. I printed them on my inkjet and it was very easy! Every one is complimenting us on how beautiful they are. All in all it was a great choice.
Here is the post I made about ours. Goodluck!

@marlew: Love those! the paper quality looks very heavy duty and nice. Where did you purchase them?

Bought my invitations at AC Moore. They were plain so I added the gold leaf stamp and the leaf stamp on the flap of the envelope. The font will be changed, just haven't decided on what to use
I bought the stardream at a local paper warehouse, had them cut it to size and score it, I glued the flaps down. The white paper that the invite was printed on was standard cardstock at the local printers
We ordered ours from WeddingBee Invitations :) I love them! So simple and so "us".

Here are mine... I ordered the paper from cardsandpockets.com and my sister designed them. Colors are a little off in the photo (colors are bright orange, apricot and green; we also used turquoise in the designs):

We ordered ours from Invitation Consultants. They were exactly what I was looking for, it was like someone read my mind!

Here's mine, I've printed them but haven't finished the wax seal yet. So here's the computer rendered.
ps: I'm a graphic designer so I designed and print it at home, cost me less than $45 for these :)
Also, I run a Wedding Invitation Design Set Giveaway this month, feel free to check it here
Good luck bee's

I just finalized my decision yesterday. They are very pretty and go perfectly with the "feel" of the wedding.
Love them!
