Can I see your living room? What’s your style? Anything cool in there? Is it an apartment, house, townhouse, etc? How long have you lived there?
Here’s mine! We just bought the house last April, and just got brand new couches a month or two ago! We just wanted ours to be super cozy and homey.
I feel like we’ve pulled it off! The reason there is an empty space above the TV is because I told him he can’t put anything there until after we’re married… I’m getting him a family crest (as his wedding gift) to put there. He’s always wanted one.
And we’re still trying to find a nice big rug to put in there to make it warmer.

@LeonardLady: Very nice. I think the rug will warm it up for sure. When you are able, I would add tables and lamps at either end of the love seat , and a small table and lamp between the chair and the wall.
I would also lower the artwork.

I love your living room! Mine is still a work in progress…I’ve got the floor and hearth and the wall behind the hearth done but there are two and a half walls that are just exposed insulation, and staying that way until we get the wiring done and knock down a wall to join the room with a bigger room.

@LeonardLady: Love love love!!!! I do think though that you might need a different coffee table.. Perhaps an ottoman to make it cozier?

@LeonardLady: Ooh I love your floors and fireplace!
Here’s ours. We have a small (850 sq ft) house but it’s cozy for the two of us, and it feels really open with the peaked wood ceilings. I love my colorful pillows and color coordinated books 🙂

My style is modern/ contemporary while still being comfy and homey. We live in a condo and have been there for about 5 years now.
I don’t have a full shot of the room on my phone, but I’ll post one later. We’ve put a lot of effort into it recently and I’m very proud of the finished product (we also redid the bathroom and the kitchen before christmas). It’s exactly what we envisioned living in and I’m happy to come home everyday..except for the wall of shelves housing our DVDs, those are coming down this weekend.
In the meantime, this guy just arrived (after ordering him about 14 weeks ago):

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
@LeonardLady: Le sigh, these are the kind of threads that make me realize I have no decorating style! I am pretty proud of 2 rooms in my house, my living room is not one of them! It had green carpet when we moved in 2 years ago and we repainted the walls and it didn’t turn out to be the color I wanted, yet I’m too lazy to repaint it so far!
Here’s a pic of 1/2 of the room, I took it because we just got new end tables and coffee table!
Then if you turn 180 degrees from where this picture was taken you’re looking at this:
The cat is not always there 🙂 I really love the bookends and cat sign, but the books are making the shelf dip in the middle so I’ll have to change that up sooner than later. On the other wall of our living room is our entertainment center with TV, in the center of the entertainment center I have this lion figurine from TJMaxx that I love and some faux candles from Target that run on a timer for 4 hours/night – I love them!

@LeonardLady: Love that wall color!

- Wedding: November 2014 - Nazareth Hall
Here is ours! This was right after we moved in and nothing has changed much since except the arrangement of the furniture. I think the dark colors give it a warm feel, although I am loving the color on your walls! I think a big fluffy run would definitely help warm up the room!!

This is ours from last year. Literally, the day we moved in after refinishing our floors. We have gray paneling, which doesn’t look bad, and we have a lot of other projects that will come before doing these walls. Of course, by now we’ve hung pictures and added things, but I love our large open living room.

My living room is under constant change, I simply can’t decide how I want things..
We’re hopefully going to change the floors after the wedding this summer. I want darker floors and lighter walls.
I have lived here for 4 years (I think?) and my FI has lived here for like 7-8 years. It is a house.

@SusieNor: Your taste and style looks so high-end! Come decorate my place, hahah.

Here’s mine! This picture is from Christmas, but it’s a good picture of the overall room! Normally the chair and an ottoman (not pictured) are where the Christmas tree is. Obviously, this decor is not up year-round 🙂

This is my fiance’s apartment where I will be living. There is no style or… much of anything! It’s been very much a bachelor pad before I arrived. (The stuff on the counter is mainly mine) Needs a new couch, decor… everything. BUT the view is to die for! So I don’t care too much about the old couch 😀 We can fix all of that up after the wedding!
