Hey girls, just wanted to see what people are wearing for their rehearsal/dinner?! I recently showed my mom a creamed colored dress and she said that I'm not supposed to wear white at all until the day of the wedding. Is this true?! I've seen LOTS of people wear white dresses (short) to their rehearsals and i think it's sooo cute, but what is the etiquette? If you have a picture of your dress please post it!! Thanks :)
Am I the only one NOT wearing anything special that day? Probably just jeans flop flops and a tanktop that says BRIDE..lol
Here's what I wore - a white dress with a navy sash (and not even my hubby's very traditional Grandmother said a word!)

I'm wearing a white dress with gold sparkles for rehersal. I got it at Macy's about a month ago. I've never heard anything about not wearing white.
@kankanwed: where is that dress from? its FABULOUS and totally my style!!!
I wore a partially white dress and Ive seen others wear white dresses too - I think you should wear whatever you want!
This is what I wore...

I will be wearing something similar to this dress. Love the color and style
@JerzyLady: I don't remember. Got to save the links for these images, lol.
i really wanted to do white and i guess i could since im a bride :) but being february i think white may just look funny - so im thinking something mixed - im diggin this dress

this is me and my MOH. I originally had a short dress from Anthropologie but came across this on sale at JCrew the week before. I could not not get it. My engagement ring has amethyst stones and my husband had gotten me amethyst earrings as a wedding gift so i had my heart on purple.

I'd love to wear something like this, but it may be a bit too fancy (even though im typically "overdressed" for occassions..

I am going to order this dress from one of the Bee Bloggers moms Etsy store, I may order it in black also just because I want it. It is also in consideration for a BM dress for one of my girls.
I LOVE these dresses ladies!! Yeah my mom is just totally against me wearing a white dress the day before...but she might have a rude awakening! haha
i'm wearing white to pretty much all wedding-related events. it's not a color i normally wear, and i think it's fun to play up being the bride!
I wore a pewter J Crew dress. LOVED it so much I bought it in 3 colors. LOL. (It has *pockets*.)
The blue shoes were my original wedding shoes until I switched to black.
@tksjewelry what etsy store is that from? I really like that dress
totheislnds I LOVE your dress!!
Where can I find cute dresses?! I've looked on like dillards.com because they have a ton of dresses but none that I think are quite special enough for my rehearsal....am I being too picky?? Should this be such a hard decision?
@Zaria: Yeah I was thinking about doing the same thing! And having my girls wear the bridesmaids tanks...but these dresses are HOT!!
This is the dress I am wearing to my rehearsal, one week from today!
You can totally wear white. I have a blue dress that I will wear if there is no room in my budget, if not I am going with a cream colored dress
I wore a b&w damask dress from Anne Taylor -got the idea from Mrs. Stiletto, as our themes were somewhat similar. It's hard to see in most of the photos though.

Havent bought it yet but i'm in love with this from Anthropologie for our August rehearsal dinner--- yellow and blue are our colors!
Bought this dress on sale from Jcrew. This is what I plan to wear!

Here's mine from The Limited (clearance PLUS 40% off... made this lovely gem $15)
p.s. not wearing it with the sparkly belts or tights but with black flats and a black shrug to keep it conservative.
I wore this for the ceremony rehearsal:
And changed into this for the dinner and tea ceremony:
I wore a black dress with a blue sash to go with our color scheme. It is a Jim Hjelm bridesmaid dress and the one I thought I would want my BM's to get so I put a deposit to lock in trunk sale prices, but we went in a different direction. So, I put the deposit towards it. I loved it!
The one pic is the worst pic..haha, but it's the only one I can find right now with a shot of the whole dress.
I'm still on the lookout, but I may wear this one with a shrug/cardigan if I can't find anything else that I like more :-)

Here's mine, it's a Jessica Simpson and I love it! Can't really see from this picture, but the bottom has these abstract flowers.

@nursein10: Thanks! She really has some cute stuff sometimes, and her clothes fit really well it seems especially if you have some curves!
@Zaria: I am doing the same. Just going to be comfy. Nothing to special for it.
We had a themed rehearsal of 80's Nerds and Prom Queens, so I had to wear an awesome 80's outfit. However, I love the serious dresses you guys picked out.
