Ok the pic I took at the shop is TERRIBLE but here it is! mine is is very oddly shaped split shank and the center stne has a halo around it and we had a really had time fitting it with a weddig band but Zales had really reasonably priced band we purchased last week!
i like the gap too! but my mom said that people are going to notice that it "doesn't belong," when i was looking at a similar style. but i don't think so. i would love to see more pics of people with split shank rings and a band with a gap!
this is mine... i dont have a pic of the band but its jst a band where the diamonds start/stop in line with my ering... it has a bit of a gap too but i like it because it goes with the gap on the ering...

@mrs_a.valadez: No problem, technically my e-ring was made by my MIL's jewelry shop (because the solitaire was passed down by her as a gift to me), but the setting is by Hearts on Fire. It's called Felicity Split-shank. The wedding band is by HoF as well.

It seems that split shank wearers are like the bony finger club. I also have long bony fingers and love this style ring...hmm.
