My dress sounds pretty similar to what you’re looking for.  But any ball gown you try on can make the skirt poofier by adding a larger hoop skirt

Mine is natural waist with an organza skirt. I don’t want much poof, but a hoop or crinoline would create that effect with my dress.

Mine could poof a lot more with a crinoline underneath. There is a lot of fabric in that skirt. This is the Pronovias Pergola.

@anemone681:  Yes, it is Pnina – I also loved the one you posted, but I think it might be discontinued, they didn’t have it when I went shopping. Why wouldn’t it sit right with a hoop skirt?

@anemone681:  I would suggest looking for dresses that are designed with hoop skirts – my dress doesn’t pull or bunch at all.

Mine was a dropped waist ballgown… a little bit on an older model I guess since it has been over 2 years since I bought it:

I wore a ball gown with a hoop skirt. It was the greatest thing EVAR. The hoop skirt was such a good decision!!!
