For favors we are giving our guests playing cards. The cards are NOT customized, nor is the box. (Who wants to play cards with our our faces and/or date on them???)
I was originally going to tie a favor tag on them. I just haven’t found a template I like. Originally I was thinking about just doing our monogram and our wedding date on a piece of card stock and then tying to with a piece of ribbon.
I just had a thought, can i skip the favor tag and just tie a piece of ribbon to the card box? The paper will just be thrown away anyways.

While they are nice, you’re right, they aren’t necessary. They probably will get tossed but they’re a nice way to signify your marriage and look good in pictures 😛
For my brother’s wedding, I went to MagnetStreet’s website, found a tag template I liked, personalized it with their name and colours, took a screen shot, went to Staples, and got them printed and laminated there. Instead of paying $40 for 100 tags I paid $7.
I doubt you won’t be able to find something nice on that website lol. I had such a hard time choosing because they were all beautiful!

Swebs14: but how else will people know whose wedding they are at? (joking)

Swebs14: I’m actually starting to consider forgoing the tags as well. It’s just another added expense, and I don’t know if it really adds anything. I’m getting to the point in wedding planning where I am starting to look for ways to start cutting expenses, and those just might have to go.

Skip them! If you don’t care, guaranteed no one else will! It’s just one of the million details around weddings that we don’t really need. I think the ribbon will look good without a tag.
