Wait, so are you buying an ivory dress (which is an off-white cream sort of color) or are you buying one that is pink/blush/champagne?

Regardless, you don’t have to match your dress to your invites. I’ve literally never heard of anyone doing that. Matching invites to the general color scheme of the wedding, yes, but NOT the dress. Send out whatever invites you want, and don’t stress.

No one will be holding the invitation next to your dress to compare colors. I think it will be fine.

You can use whatever invitations you want, regardless of what dress you’ll be wearing. They have exactly nothing to do with each other.

Of all the things to worry about, this is not even remotely one of them.

You’re 46? When I clicked on this thread I seriously thought it would be a post by someone half your age. This is not something to stress over… particularly since 90% of your invitations are going to end up in the waste bin within a week of your guests recieving them.

Ok, I hope this comes off the way it’s intended…to lighten the load.  I told my husband about this dilemma and we laughed because we know all too well how stressful planning a wedding can be.  And he knows all too well how crazy I got over details etc.

So he said, yes this can be done!  We must order dye and dye each invitation which will take at least 37 hours per invitation…and the ink must be shipped from overseas and will cost $5000…which means we will have to cut the food budget and have a cash bar…but it can and must be done!
