My thought: It is your wedding and you can walk down the aisle to ANYTHING you want. Rock it. :)

I agree. You should walk down the aisle to whatever makes you feel happy on that day. It sounds like this will make both you and your father happy so you should definitely do it. If you don't do it for the ceremony, you should use it for the father daughter dance.
Soooo.....I was wondering the same thing cause I think I'm totally going to do it. It sounded so cool when I heard our string trio play it. And like you said, its totally my dad and I's style and I want something that wont make him/us cry.

I like it and even more with the strings playing it. I walked down the ailse with a very non tradtional song and got compliments on it all night. Go or it!

I'm doing my father daughter dance to Slash's remake of this song with Myles Kennedy on vocals, it softens it up a lot, but still has the rock n roll edge to it.

im walking down to a xmasy type song ( its a remake of a classic but we are having a xmas wedding!)

This is just my opinion... but I find that songs for walking down the aisle should be about you and your groom, not you and your father. Save that for the father-daughter dance.
But a string version may be more understated.
@ohmybears48: The song is about a guy and a girl in love. He wrote it for his girldfriend at the time. The song isn't about me and my dad but it's a song that we wont cry to.
