I am having a dress made to look like the jcrew Lucinda dress below. I love love love birdcage veils. Can I wear one with this dress? Please say yes lol!

Of course it'll look great! I think a dress with that type of fit would look best with a vintagey birdcage anyways.

i had a lucinda dress replicated too! i wore mine with a drop veil, but the dress is so simple that any veil would work with it.

The gown could have any veil. I just like birdcage veils w/ short cuts or vintagy hairstyles.

I think birdcage veils go with any dress, esp strapless dresses, go for it! Out of sheer curiousity, where are you getting your replica made & (if you don't mind sharing) how much are you paying for it?

I am getting my dress made through etsy vendor BeyondTheReflection. She is only charging me $375 which is AWESOME. I've sent in my measurements, and in a month I go in for my muslin mock up dress fitting. I'll post more about how this experience with her goes. So far, very well!

I found the girl that made my dress through etsy too! How cool is that? :) I got mine from MissBrache (www.missbrache.etsy.com) though... she's local and was awesome to work with. Good luck with your dress!
