I love the style of the Mikaella 1406, but my Future Mother-In-Law put a bug in my ear to add some accessories that have a bit of bling and embellishment. I like the idea of a shrug/bolero, and I ordered a long-sleeved one that matches the dress but we changed our date from March to May and I’m afraid I’ll be too hot in long sleeves.
I love the style (my back will show a little bit b/n the shrug and the dress) of this one that I found on etsy, and it also has beautiful bling – the one shown here is in ivory but I could get it in white to match the dress. However, one of my friends insists that the different fabrics make it look like a “chaotic, distracting afterthought”. Uh, tell me what you really think. . I never really thought about that and now I’m second guessing it. Please tell me what you think, bees!

I think it would be beautiful! I wore a Mikaella gown and I think lace would be fine with it!

Would anyone else be so kind as to weigh in on my poll? Thanks very much!

I think it would absolutely go. I love it!

It would work but I think that there may me a gap where the dress dips down and the center of the back of the bolero bows up. I actually think that might look very nice and an unintential design benefit of pairing these two items together. I think you should go for it.

I wore a silk-taffeta Mikaella dress and tried on many lace shrugs with it- they all looked really pretty. I saw go for it!
