I don’t acutally want a tradtional engagement ring, and I’d like to wear just one ring. I want a simple wedding band with a small bezel diamond set into it. I’ve seen a lot of rings I like online, but many of them are actually listed as men’s wedding bands, and I also would prefer to buy the ring at a brick and mortar store.
My question: would it look weird if I wore a men’s wedding band? I’d like a band that is 3-4mm, and I’m a 5.5 ring size. Are men’s sizes different than women’s sizes? Anything else to think about that I’m not considering? Do any of you have a men’s wedding band that you wear?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I agree wtih mockblock.. I don’t see why not.. All ring sizing is the same.. It’s not like shoes 🙂

Wear whatever ring makes you happy. The ring you described sounds pretty gender neutral, and I’m a firm believer in wearing what YOU want, not what society pressues you to. My mom occasionally rocks a 4mm wide band with her monogram engraved on it instead of her diamond engagement ring/band combo. I really like the look, actually.
I believe there is no gender to ring size–it’s simply how thick your finger is. Incidentally, FI and I will wear nearly identical bands. His will be 1mm wider than mine and 1 size larger (I’m a 5, he’s a 6). Otherwise, they’ll be the same.

@SleepyBee99: I think that’s fine especially a thinner band 4mm or less but thicker is fine too if that’s what you want.

@SleepyBee99: It would only be weird if it didnt match your personality. I am not getting that such would be an issue so I say go for it!

I think it would look fine and no one would even notice that it is marketed as a man’s ring!

@MrsPaperFlowers: I was totally thinking it might be like shoes! Thanks 🙂

You certainly can. Some wedding bands are even made to be for either gender.
I think the sizing numbers are the same.

I’ve actually thought about this myself, for me though I would do it when I didn’t want to wear my ering and band. Do what you like and then rock it.

Wear what you like!!!! I like men’s watches. i also buy men’s tennis shoes in boys sizes because they have colors I like.
Any ring can be sized for you.
