Here’s my info:
Since getting married, I wear my engagement ring on my right hand. It was my perference and it is simply not an option to wear them together.
My mom wants to buy me a fashion ring as a belated convocation gift. I would love to wear a non-wedding related ring, but I’m not sure how it would look to wear a third ring. I was planning on sizing it to my index finger for my left (wedding band) hand. I’m would be nervous to wear it on a finger next to either of my rings, because I would be worried they would rub against each other.
Attached are pictures of my current daily ring bling. (ignore the imperfect finger nails)

Here are a few rings I’m considering: (Keep in mind its a gift with a budget)

i personally think the 3 rings would be too much, since you’re already wearing your engagement ring on your right hand. i don’t like the look of a ring like that on an index finger. i think if you looked for more of a flat ring you could pull it off.

I say yes! I would go with one of your index fingers. I am curious though, why don’t you wear your e-ring with your wedding band? I think they would look really nice together but I know everyone has their reasons! 🙂

I had a ring that I LOOOOVED on my left hand index finger and had to take it off when I got engaged…. it was way too much to have those two on the same hand. I already had and kept my right hand middle finger ring on. I thought a 3rd is too much. I think 1 per hand is best.

for daily wear, maybe. but if you only wear it sometimes…why not? my wedding-related rings are the only ones i wear all the time, but i have others that i put into rotation once in a while. usually i wear them on my middle finger though. they rub a little, but since i don’t wear them every day it’s not a big deal.

@Mrs. Fireworks: Few reasons. My engagement ring is beautiful and unique. (the picture doesn’t show it well but it has a metal design in the band itself). The company who made the ring never made a matching band so my options were
(1) have a band designed for major bucks – more than we could afford
(2) find a similar band – but nothing matched the unique band and just hid the design, which is my favourite aspect of the ring
(3) don’t bother trying to match it and get something else
The band I bought is super plain and only 10k, which means I wear it everywhere without worrying about damaging it. My e-ring is 18k so I have to be much more careful with it and I can’t place it against my band without the metal wearing.
Might upgrade for a 10th anniversary but for now the arrangement works for me.

I love the last ring, but agree with previous posters that 3 is a lot. (That said, I’m a non-jewelry person for the most part.) Consider wearing your engagement ring and wedding band together?
