Welcome to the hive!  These earrings are gorgeous!  I would definitely wear them as your "something blue."

omg gorgeous! i wore a blue topaz (light blue like the earrings!) and my colors were definitely not blue at all! It’s obvious they’re your “something blue” anyways!

I wearing a emerald cut topaz ring that has been passed down in my family for four generations as my something borrowed, old, and blue…haha. I was hesitant to wear it because it is set in a 14K gold band while all my other jewelry is white gold (including e-ring and band) but I got over it and so will everyone else! So I say GO FOR IT!

Very pretty! I think they are perfect for wedding day earrings. When you described them I expected it to be a darker blue but this blue keeps the light, bridally feeling!
