I suppose it depends - are you really going to be able to see your shoes? Why did you pick those shoes? I take it they can't be colored or they don't come in a whiter version?
I have a Sottero & Midgley diamond white dress and I am wearing white shoes. Depending on the designer diamond white can mean a lot of things. In my case diamond white is a warm white where the white is a cold white.
I just tried on my 'diamond white' satin dress, and the white satin heels I picked out were visibly whiter than the dress... ugh. It's the kind of thing no one but me would ever notice, but I didn't like it. I'm going to try the same shoes in ivory, hopefully they'll be a closer match.
It may vary. I have a MS diamond white dress and I have white satin shoes. My shoes were whitter than my dress, but I covered them in crystals it is no longer noticable. So I think that ivory would be your best bet for a diamond white dress because sometimes ivory may be more of an off white than yellow (diamond is sometimes described as an off-white).
